Mr Scruff B2B Mikey D.O.N (all night long)
Iconic Manchester DJ Mr. Scruff returns to St Mary’s Chambers on Saturday 18th April for his second DJ set at the venue, this time alongside the powerhouse Mikey D.O.N for a 5+ hour B2B DJ set.
They have played together many times at events including Keep It Unreal at Band On The Wall, We Out Here Festival, Liverpool Disco Festival, Lancaster Kanteena and Beat Herder.
Scruff & Mikey will be playing from open to close, moving through reggae, hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, disco, house, techno, rave, breaks, afro-latin and whatever else makes sense in the moment.
A producer, cartoonist and true cross-genre selector, Mr. Scruff is celebrated for his recordings on the Ninja Tune label, residencies at Band on the Wall (Manchester), as well as countless appearances at clubbing institutions across the UK and overseas.
Lancashire's own Mikey D.O.N. grew up in sound system culture and is one of the UK’s hip hop pioneers as part of Krispy 3, who were formed in 1986. A proper party rocker and sound killer (you don’t want to play against Mikey in a sound clash!) he brings the energy every time he touches a turntable or a microphone.
We’re delighted to welcome these two to Rossendale for what promises to be another outstanding night of music from two of the North West’s most respected and loved DJs.
