Transmission The Sound of Joy Division, the UK’s premier Joy Division tribute band. Devoted to recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, Transmission emulate the sound of one of the most inventive, evocative and influential groups of their era.
Having formed in 2006, they are now entering their 20th anniversary of playing gigs in the UK, Ireland and Europe, combining the beauty of Joy Division’s music with the energy and immediacy of their live performances.
They regularly play to large audiences, touring the UK relentlessly in some of the most iconic venues and some of the largest tribute festivals in the country, drawing complimentary reviews wherever they go. As a result they have amassed a large following and a reputation of delivering the best of Joy Division with the utmost respect and with pinpoint accuracy.
